Zooming Through 2021
We are now on the downhill side of 2021, and as far as I can tell teaching is all over the map. I will be teaching a section of creative writing for GCC in October and it looks to be online. I'm also scheduled to teach a bird watching class for GCC in August (online) and for Westside Extension in September (in person). If you are not located in the Los Angeles area, the last of the Zoom offerings are your chance to sign up for the classes that I normally teach in person. There are, of course, limitations—I cannot lead any bird walks for the birding class and the succulent workshop is limited to my presentation, discussion, and a very abbreviated demonstration.

In other news, after 18 years as associate editor, I will be leaving the Los Angeles Zoo in August and starting a new position as senior writer at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens. Change is strange, but I am looking forward to this exciting new venture and the opportunity to share my new experiences and learning with you!
